The time has come! We will be opening up the community beta site to the public on Thursday, September 26, at 12:00 p.m. CT. The legacy community site will remain open for another week, closing on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. CT.
This move is a healthy and positive step forward in bringing the community together and continuing to update and improve our platform. Our focus with the new site is to become an even better home for all of you, one that we hope you will help us build.
So, what’s going to happen to the legacy community site? In simple terms, it will go offline on October 3 and be unavailable for any type of use after that point. But don’t despair! Between now and October 3, you will have the ability to save the content of your legacy profile by archiving what you have written, posted, and uploaded. @Radius55, one of our site admins, created a site archiver tool*,** that you can use to save your journals, images, friends list, and forum threads. Make sure to go through the ReadMe file as it will help with any questions you might have. If you continue to have problems, tag @Radius55 for assistance.
Once you receive access to the new community site, we urge you to jump in and start interacting with the rest of the community. We’re confident you’ll make some new friends and special memories here.
We will continue to communicate updates to you as we receive them.
UPDATE 9/8/19: The Archiver update, v1.0.0, now includes the ability to download group news posts. Read more here.
*Note: As of right now, the Archiver is only available for use through Windows and Linux devices. OSX is available for use if you are moderately knowledgeable of OSX development. If you are able to create an OSX executable, we'd love to vet it and share it with other OSX users.
